OLYMPICS 2012 We have been selected to be part of the Olympic Getset Network. Sebastian Coe, chairman of LOCOG, said: "I am proud to welcome Congleton High to the Get Set network for their exciting work around the Olympic Values of friendship, excellence and respect and the Paralympic Values of inspiration, courage, determination and equality." By joining the network Congleton High now has a golden opportunity to give some of their pupils the chance of a lifetime – tickets to see the greatest show on earth. We were also delighted to have Olympic champions, Anne and Robbie Brightwell as guests at our Awards Evening on 5 January. |

OUR VISION Our school motto is ‘Achieving Success Together’ and our aims are very straightforward; to be a well led, inclusive school where quality teaching enables everyone to learn and to fulfil their potential. Our team of outstanding teachers and support staff all work together to deliver the best possible education for our students. We have high expectations of what can be achieved and the key to our success is a purposeful community where learning is stimulating and enjoyable and is the focus of everything we do. |

OFSTED We are delighted that in January 2010 Ofsted inspectors have endorsed the views of our parents, students, staff and partners. All aspects of the school were graded as at least good, while four aspects were given the highest grade of outstanding. The inspectors made numerous very positive comments including:- "...all staff are empowered to contribute to the school's impressive record of improvement" "All students receive a high quality of care, guidance and support" "The headteacher provides admirable and visionary leadership and he has been highly effective in developing a strong capability among the senior and middle leaders" Click here to download a copy of the report. |

EXAM RESULTS 2011 In 2011 we celebrated our best ever exam results with 93% 5+ A*-C at GCSE, which is significantly above the national average and one of the top 5 in Cheshire East. We are an inclusive school with 99 % 5+A*-G. Our high flyers continue to impress with 33% gaining 3+ A*/A. At A level, our pass rate is the best on the county at 100% with 45% A*-B grades. Students gained places at the top Russell Group universities to continue their studies. These outcomes are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students and the backing of parents and careers. |

OUR PARTNERS In 2004 Congleton High School was designated a Specialist School of Engineering and as such we work closely with a partnership of local primary (Astbury St Mary’s, Black Firs, Daven, The Quinta, Scholar Green, Smallwood and Woodcocks Well) and secondary schools, international schools, sponsors, major employers (including Siemens, AstraZeneca and Bentley), colleges, universities and other organisations in promoting excellence in subjects including Technology, Science, Mathematics and Computing as well as across the whole curriculum. We work closely with parents, both formally and informally; in addition to being able to talk individually to your child’s form tutor or classroom teachers, we encourage parents to provide feedback and become involved in the life of the school through our Parents in Partnership group. |
