New Parents

Y7 Intake 2012
We go to a lot of effort to ensure that every new student is visited by a member of staff prior to joining the school. This is usually done by Mr Barlow ( Deputy Headteacher) or Mrs Pyatt (Y7 Head of Student Services) during the summer term. We will also be inviting your child to join us for a day in school in June so that they can meet other students and their new form tutor. If your child has any concerns during the transition process then please contact Mr Barlow.

Your child's form tutor will become the main point of contact for you as parents from September. They will keep you informed, liaise with other teachers in school on your behalf and deal with any concerns that you may have. Mrs Pyatt is the Y7 head of student services and she will be leading the year group overall.

The school has moved to a cashless catering system. Your child will be registered on the system and will be able to purchase a meal from the school canteen each day. Parents are able to top up their child's account and monitor what is purchased using the online system.

We will do everything we can to ensure that your child settles in quickly and makes friends.
